Editorial Board member Criteria & eligibility

Our Editorial cum reviewer Board Members are active researchers, academicians and industry working professionals recognized as experts in their field. They handle manuscripts within their areas of expertise, overseeing all aspects of the peer review process from submission to acceptance.

The Editorial Board is comprised of Chief Editor, Scientific directors, Deputy Editor-In-Chiefs, Associate Editors, Review Board members and Journal manager who have significant expertise and experience in their respective fields.

 Editorial Board member Appointment Criteria

Appointing qualified Editorial board members is crucial for maintaining the integrity and quality of the International Journal of Core Engineering and Management (iJCEM). Each Editorial Board Member is selected for IJCEM after successfully meeting our stringent selection criteria, which include a sustained record of scholarly contributions, pioneering research and recognition as a thought leader in the academic and professional community. Their extensive knowledge and experience make them suitable candidates to provide insights and recommendations on submitted manuscripts.

  • Expertise Alignment: Identify potential reviewers with demonstrated expertise in the specific areas covered by the IJCEM journal. This ensures that submissions are evaluated by individuals knowledgeable in the subject matter and recognized expert in the relevant domain from either academia or industry.
  • Academic and Professional Credentials: Preferably select reviewers holding significant professional/academic/industry experience in relevant fields.

Industry Experts should have substantial experience (minimum 5–10 years) in the relevant domain or as exceptionally selected by nomination by Existing board members. Must have held leadership or senior technical roles in the industry (e.g., R&D Head, Senior Engineer, CTO, Project Manager etc.). Experience in implementing cutting-edge technologies, patents, or industry collaborations are desirable, as well as having published some research papers.

Academic Experts should hold a Ph.D. or an equivalent qualification in a relevant field with atleast 15 years of academic experience with publication records in reputed journals or conferences. Preferably hold a faculty position (Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor) at a recognized university or research institution.

  • Prior Reviewing Experience: Consider individuals with a history of reviewing for reputable conferences or journals, as they are familiar with the standards and expectations of the peer-review process.
  • Publication Record: Reviewers should have a strong record of publications in esteemed journals or conferences, indicating active engagement in research.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Aim for a diverse pool of reviewers in terms of geography, gender, and institutional affiliation to incorporate a wide range of perspectives.

Editorial cum reviewers Board members Recruitment Process   

  • Nominations by Current committee members: Allow current committee members and established researchers to nominate potential reviewers, leveraging their professional networks.
  • Self Nominations: Aspirants can reach out to ijcem.submit@gmail.com/ submit@ijcem.in to submit their interest (along with their updated detailed Bio Data) to join as editorial and reviewer board member of IJCEM.
  • Application Review: Assess applications based on the outlined selection criteria, ensuring candidates’ expertise aligns with the conference themes.
  • Database Utilization: Utilize existing databases of the industry and academia leaders to identify researchers who have published in relevant areas.

Review Process

  • Assignment of Papers: Allocate papers to reviewers based on their expertise, ensuring a minimum of two reviewers per paper to maintain a balanced evaluation.
  • Evaluation Criteria: Provide reviewers with clear guidelines on evaluation metrics, including relevance, originality, technical soundness, clarity, and contribution to the field.
  • Review Monitoring: Establish a system to monitor the quality and timeliness of reviews, offering feedback to reviewers to maintain high standards.
  • Reviewer’s Recognition: IJCEM Recognizes reviewer’s contributions through certificates/emails or highlighting exemplary reviews.
